Question:
How do I approve choices made by students from other departments wishing to register for our modules? What happens when our students take modules in other departments?
Answer:
As departmental approvers you access requests for module approval via your inbox in the on-line screens. You are required to select the department you are acting for. There may be more than one. For example: Aerospace Enginnering and MLTC approvers will have access to mulitple departments. In cases where a home department needs to give consent and an owning department needs to give approval, only where both action boxes (Unit and Programme) are checked 'A' will a module be approved for registration. If the home department gives consent, but an owning department rejects the request (module is full or no longer running) the decision will automatically default to 'Declined'.
